Questions people ask us

Can your artists cover up an old tattoo?

Some of our artists will take on cover-ups, but they need a consultation first to see if the size, darkness and placement of your old tattoo allow a successful cover-up. Laser removal to lighten the old tattoo may be recommended.

How much does a tattoo cost?

Each artist has a different rate depending on their years of experience and what you are asking for; they take into account size, style and placement. For an accurate price, book a free consultation by email or in person with your favourite artist.

Can I bring my own design or reference image?

You can bring reference images or inspiration to your artist. All of our artists create custom designs in their own style, made for your complexion, skin texture and the size of the placement area.

How do I care for my new tattoo?

Your artist gives you written instructions on how to wash, moisturize and treat the area. Avoid scratching or picking at it while it heals, and stay away from pools, lakes, saunas and the gym for at least 3 weeks.

Does getting a tattoo hurt?

It varies from person to person. Many describe a scratchy or burning feeling, but everyone's pain tolerance is different, and some areas of the body are more sensitive than others.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Eat a healthy breakfast and stay hydrated the morning of your appointment. Get a good night's sleep and avoid alcohol the night before; it helps you handle the session more easily.

Is it safe to get a tattoo?

We work in a completely sterile, hygienic environment with the best quality inks and equipment.

How long does a tattoo take to heal?

The first week matters most: watch what touches the area to avoid fading or infection, and follow your aftercare instructions. Tattoos are fully healed at about 4 weeks.

Can tattoos fade over time?

Tattoos fade slightly over time depending on sun exposure and skin damage. Keep taking care of yours and wear sunscreen to avoid needing a touch-up later.

Can I get tattooed if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

Tattoos pose a health risk while pregnant or breastfeeding, so we do not recommend getting tattooed at this time.
